What About Testing &
Treatment?
An Orthopaedist may prescribe certain tests in order to obtain
an adequate diagnosis of the condition. Testing is not uncommon.
Here is a listing of the tests frequently prescribed:
- General X-rays
- MRI ( Magnetic Resonance Imaging )
- CAT Scan ( Computerized Axial Tomography - also known as CT
Scan )
- EMG ( Electromyography )
- Neuro-Diagnostic Testing
Your doctor will explain, in detail, any tests which are prescribed
to you. He will also be happy to answer questions you may have
about your condition and treatment.

Do all the patients
at the Space Coast Orthopaedic Center require surgery?
No. Some patients can be treated successfully with physical therapy,
medication and other nonoperative modalities while others may
require surgery. At the center, we evaluate each patient individually
and recommend the course of action that would most quickly and
effectively allow you to enjoy immediate and long-term comfort.
