For our patients with medical insurance, we participate with
several insurance health plans. We will be happy to file any necessary
insurance forms for you. We ask that any co-pays or deductibles
be paid at the time services are rendered. In cases where a patient
may not have insurance, we expect payment at time of service.
Members of our billing office will be happy to assist you if there
is a need for a payment plan or if you have any questions about
your account.
Under most managed care plans, orthopaedics is considered a specialty.
Therefore, many managed care plans require a referral before they
agree to cover the cost of services. We ask that each patient
check with their insurance company to see whether or not they
will require a referral. If a referral is needed, it is the patient's
responsibility to obtain the referral from their primary care
physician. When surgery is required we will assist you with proper
testing and hospital in-patient or out-patient authorization.
